During my time as a musician, I have been honoured enough to have received a number of awards for my work. This is not a complete portfolio of all attained awards, but demonstrates the more significant awards held.
Guild of Musicians and Singers
Awarded: September 16th, 2018
The Guild of Musicians and Singers was founded in 1993 by the late Denis Puxty. The aims and objectives were, in his words: “to create a Guild of professional and amateur musicians similar to Guilds of years past, enabling members to meet from time to time for working and fraternal purposes.”
The Guild regards itself as a learned society and is not an examining body. It consists of well over 400 members, and includes several distinguished musicians among its Honorary Fellows.
Percy Welton Prize for Academic Studies
Junior Royal Northern College of Music
Awarded: June 30th, 2018
The Junior RNCM provides expert tuition and specialist training for children and young people (aged 8-18) with exceptional musical ability. Students receive highly specialised musical training without disturbing the balance of their weekday education and the normality of family life, while enjoying the benefits of making music with others of similar talents and aspirations. Junior RNCM operates on Saturdays during term time between 9.30am-4.30pm.
A very high percentage of our students go on to study music at conservatoire or university, whilst a small number continue with higher education in other disciplines, greatly enriched by their Junior RNCM experience.
